Missional Communities

Every Tuesday until August 30, 2022

6:00pm – 9:00pm

Category: Small groups | Coordinator: Kevin Giddings

God designed you for community. Community where you are known and know others. Community where your lives together show what Jesus is like where you live, work, learn, and play.

At 4TheCity, we believe this best happens in what we call a missional community. A missional community is a group of 8-15 people who love one another like family, serve those in need, and share the good news of Jesus.

WHY MISSIONAL COMMUNITY?

We believe that missional community is an expression of who we are as disciples of Jesus. The Father has adopted us, so we are family. The Son has saved us, so we are servants. And the Spirit has sent us, so we are witnesses. In missional community, we live out this identity, together.

WHAT DOES LIFE IN A MISSIONAL COMMUNITY LOOK LIKE?

Missional Communities typically meet on a weekly basis to share a meal and pray together. These small groups engage in discussion around the sermon from the previous Sunday using one of our MAPs, or "Missional Application Points" guides. Other weeks, groups might have a missional and/or prayer focus where they dedicate more time to serve and pray together.
